I weaseled myself into a Verellen Skyhammer through years of Craigslist flipping recently and I have been blown away by it. This post is more about the destination than the journey, but suffice to say that I don't have too much invested in it. I really wanted to check it out, and I am thoroughly impressed. It has a very tight gain, while still being super articulate. It has a very prominent mid range through V30s that let's it cut through the mix like a knife. I also really liked it through H30s too, which was a little smoother. All in all, I think this is my favorite amp ever.
Does anyone else have one of these things? Any love for Verellen amps? I've been leaving it at the jam spot, and I've been super excited for practice to play it every week.
