Here is a pedalboard that I just finished for the amazingly talented Kirk Fletcher. Kirk plays with the most revered blues and rock players around including Lynwood Slim, Janiva Magness, Charlie Musselwhite, Doyle Bramhall, Michelle Branch, and of course, The Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Kirk was looking for a pedalboard that would allow him to maintain his staple effects, but also allow for flexibility for "off-board" expansion by way of an open loop on the pedalboard. This would allow Kirk to patch in a Wah, Compressor, or an additional Boost, Overdrive, or Distortion pedal in the middle of the signal chain. Kirk also wanted to have the ability to run the pedalboard in stereo out of the Arion Chorus and the Line 6 DL-4.

To do this, we made a custom interface with 3 buffers for Kirk with a patchable effects loop to add effects in the middle of the signal path. There is one buffer coming out of the open effects loop patch in the pedalboard that is active after the Vertex Fuzz and continues through the rest of the pedalboard. Additionally, there are two more output buffers on the the MONO/STEREO outs going to Kirk's amplifiers. One output is transformer isolated to avoid any hum or phase issues.

The order of the effects are:

INTERFACE (Passive)--> Korg Pitchblack Tuner--> Lovepedal Tchula--> Sweet Sound Mojo Vibe--> Vertex BC109 Fuzz--> OPEN LOOP (Send/Return) BUFFER--> MXR Phase 90--> Lovepedal Amp Eleven--> Xotic RC Booster--> Ernie Ball VPJR 25K--> Arion SCH-1 (Mono to JSDT, Stereo to DL-4)--> Rockett Josh Smith Dual Tremolo--> Line 6 DL-4 (Stereo Out)--> INTERFACE (Amp 1 & Amp 2 w/ISO transformer).

The pedalboard sounded awesome! The Tchula sounds amazing and is extremely organic. It truly is an "always on" type of effect. It adds a tone of dimension to your sound that is really unparalleled. Everything on the pedalboard is dead quiet and it lots of possibilities with the open effects loop in the middle of the chain to do almost anything with this set up. Kirk has vowed to do some demos videos of the pedalboard once he gets it. I'll update the thread with them ASAP.

Stay tuned!

Always wondered how you power more than 8 pedals with a PP2+?

Do you 'daisy' 2 pedals to one spot on the PP2+ etc?

Low current pedals that don't mind sharing power are daisy chained - Overdrives, Distortions, Tuner, Buffer, etc.

Cheers Mason

That's why I do on my board too

I was going to say...you guys are freaks if you do all that AND manage to power each pedal on a separate outlet :D

Looks great! Pedal boards don't get enough love around here IMO. There's something about a well organized and clean pedal board that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.  Probably an OCD thing...
