Vertical vs Diagonal 2x12

Anyone have experience w/ the two?

If you take a horizontal 2x12 and turn it on it's side so it's vertical
vs a diagonal 2x12 that's offset a bit like the marshall 2601cx

Does anyone prefer either configuration and if so why?

Vertical because it sounds better and disperses the sound from left to right across the stage.

Horizontal 2x12 disperses ceiling to floor.
