Sounds just like the era records.. I remember this in like 93-94.. The guitar sounds great. I think the Early VH guitar tones sounds ratty in comparison. That Sammy could hit a note too.

Does anyone have the complete video of this session?

awesome. i remember this. it was from a radio interview i think

He be playin these holmes ...

Sammy said in his book he knew it was time to move on when a drunk EVH tried to bash out a window of their private jet in a rage @ 35,000 feet. :gethim:

That was tight and god damn can Eddie play. Best feel in the world man, just that little bit of soloing he did was great. Tone was great and Sammy was bringing it big time.

Great VH. Era for sure, might be my favorite.

Thanks for this

Chris

Waiting for Eddie to say Michael Anthony did not play bass on this recording………..

These "who knows more about EVH" conversations are entertaining

That did sound killer all around and the guitar sounds great. I will always love the raw early VH tone as well, though…

I love the tone in this VH era. That thick lush delay sound is awesome yet subtle when playing

This is a bad ass cover!!!

A GREAT Cover. Van Halen, the Guy and the Band do such GREAT Covers.

He is such an amazing Rhythm Player, creative Guitarist and I was not a big fan until I heard him on "Beat It".

I mean I knew he was excellent but did not realize that he played so well Live, and foolishly did not realize
he is one of the Greatest to ever pick up a Guitar. ..

I love how when they do Covers they Halenize them but totally kick ass.

They never bothered to put this on an Album or do it Live ?

Yeah man , VH do awesome covers IMO. They must of been one hell of a cover band back in the day

Im pretty sure its on the right here right now live CD. I love that version of Halen, its when I was in high school and was my first concert ever!!!
totally killer. At that concert they also did keep on rocking in a free world as well. that was amazin!!!!!!

Kind of off topic, but my favourite Dreams version...love Michael Anthony's vocals...

This is my favorite era of Van Halen. To me, this is when Eddie was on top of his game playing wise.
