Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me...

I've recently started using an eq in the channel insert of channel 3.

This is the first time I've ever used the channel inserts...

I've noticed that I get a loud popping sound when doing certain things.

NOTHING IN ANY OF THE LOOPS:

The amp is fine and there is no noise when switching

A BOSS PEDAL IS IN CH3 INSERT LOOP BUT INSERT TURNED OFF:

I get a pop when changing from channel 3 to any other channel.

A MULTI FX UNIT IS IN THE SERIAL LOOP BUT NOTHING IN THE INSERT LOOPS:

Unit is silent when switching between channels but there is a pop when pressing the channel insert button (on and off), even though there's nothing in there.

A MULTI FX UNIT IS IN THE SERIAL LOOP AND A BOSS PEDAL IS IN CH3 INSERT LOOP:

Popping when chaning from ch3 to any other channel and also popping when pressing the channel insert switch (on and off).

If someone can give me some advice on how to sort this out I'd be grateful...

Thanks

John

Some units have a loaded cap on the output.
This is decharged, when You switch.
Sorry, but´s not an amp issue.

Thanks peter...

At least its not an amp issue...

Would you suggest I put a 1M resistor to ground on the input and output of my pedals?

Is it normal for the VH4 to pop when the channel insert button is pressed when there are no inserts plugged in?

also, if I have a pedal in an insert but don't enable the insert, does this still have an effect on the signal chain of the amp?

Thanks again...

John
