ok, I tracked the VH4 today for some fun. here's the track explanation:

two mics (SM57 & MD421) for each track

left: one track, Explorer with EMG81
right: one track Les Paul with Duncan Phat Cats (hum cancelling P90s)
drums: simple loop with Superior Drummer (something quick from the library
bass: no bass, I wanted the guitars to sound on their own
EQ, bass cut around 50hz, nothing else
No compression
no fx
no double tracking
no boost

Joey, for whatever reason, that doesn't take me to your track; goes to SC, but its a 'what's playing now' page. Does yours have a name, specifically?

Works for me and nice clip, sounds good to me, thanks for posting.

sounded a little thin to me.

i think you would be better off uploading your tracks onto soundcloud with large wave files.

seems to play less compressed with better upper and lower fidelity.

lets hear the same clip without the high and low pass filter

That one worked, and when I went back to the first one on one of my computers it worked. Still doesn't work on my phone though.

Anyway.....NOT helping the VH4 GAS, man......nice riffs, nice leads. I fuckin LOVE the sound of that amp. I think this is the third track of your VH4 stuff I've listened to today and I've liked all of them. Nice job and keep posting em. I'll keep listening.

you know, I definitely agree with you....it sounds a bit thin....keep in mind that it's only one guitar track on each side, and no bass.

but still I feel the compression from the file.

Soundcloud is so much better than soundclick when it comes to this.

sounds good man....like ur riffs. Keep the clips coming man !
