VH4S, Ground Control midi pedal, 7 pin cable & still no powe

I have a VH4S and a "Ground Control "midi pedal. For some reason the 7 pin midi cable won't supply power to the "Ground Control pedal". I can use a power supply but thats just one more thing on stage. And it would be nice for it to work....Does any one know why the VH4S doesn't supply power to the "Ground Control" midi pedal..........I'm new here.................thanks Brian

It should work. I powered a GCP using a 7-pin MIDI cable from my Herbert. I know someone else who was able to do the same with a VH4. Do you have a "pro" version or just the basic ground control. That could be the reason.

I have the the regular Ground Control midi pedal......not the Pro.........
