Finally got around to demoing the VHT Deliverance Sixty, and I honestly think it's one of my best demos to date.

This amp is fantastic and I'm happy to see VHT making a comeback in popularity, as these are some of the nastiest high gain amps out there.

When I got this amp, I was surprised at how difficult it was to play. I was so used to a 5150 or Triple XXX that I really needed to rework my right hand technique to get the most out of this thing.

This amp, and my Splawn Quick Rod that I got shortly after, really shaped my right hand technique, made me focus a lot more on dynamics and all around, made me a little better of a player, though still a long, long ways to go.

Plenty of gain on tap, especially with a good boost in front. Handles all tunings well, I just love this damn amp.

Check it out below:

Nice. They are unforgiving; your technique better be on point or it will show. But the D60 has great clarity, up there with Wizard, SLO, etc. I didn't like mine with any boost, felt it 'narrowed' the tone or made it sound smaller. It was one of the few amps I've owned that reacted that way..most love boosts. Top ten amp for me. I've had the 60 and 120, at the same time in fact. Preferred the 60 by a wide margin...has that pissed off modded Marshall thing going, with a modern twist. The 120 is bigger sounding but more polite. Smoother, not as raw as the 60.
Great demo!

Stoked to check out your vid! D60 was my main amp for over a decade and it’s the only sell i really regret.

I found that the amp LOVED boosts....less mode with the gains set high and a keeley sd-1 boosting was perfection to me and still my favorite high gain tone i’ve ever had. My favorite high gainer ive ever played by far.

Kick ass! Had the D120 for a while and I loved it for rhythm tones. Personally I didn't much care for it for leads, but that's just me!
Great vid

Had the Fryette 120 for a week and loved the tone, the build quality on it was pretty poor though, amp had nasty hum and had to be sent back when it started making popping sounds ( amp was brand new ). Before i shipped it back to Musicians friend i checked the PCB and it had dark spots on the PCB near the PT's. Sad really, my VHT UL was a tank.

I got a D120 in a trade deal(I think, can't remember shit anymore). Got it because a best bro loved it,and I love my UL. He makes it sound fucking great, but he is better than I am at tweaking amps...I just get a tone I like and go. He runs a boost up front and a mesa eq in the loop. Sounds crushing!

And as usual, badseed's video is killer for me. But I am a thrash whore.
Edit...and as I have always said, the VHT stuff makes you a better player.

Loved the D60 I had. Balls for days and pretty damn articulate and punchy. Liked it best boosted. I later got an MCII and it sent the D60 packing. Did what the D60 did but better IMO. I also had a brand new D120 series II and didn't like it at all. Sent it back within a week.

I love that amp... Got such a raw tone, aggressive as hell.

I've heard the DII is much less aggressive in nature. True?

Finally just watched your vid....the whole thing actually!
I know i’m for sure super biased towards this amp but I still think this is one of your best sounding vids I’ve seen so far. Great job man!

Great play through.
I totally agree with Fryette amps tightening up your technique.
It happened to me after I got my SigX.

Great demo (as always)

Would love to get my hands on one. D60 seems to be everyone's favorite.

What was the riff/song starting at 12:07? Megadeth? KSE? Bushido?

Yes I felt it was less aggressive than the D60 , and it was also way drier/less saturated than the D60 I had. Even boosted the D120 II was super friggin dry. I also didn't really like the overall voicing/eq. It was kind of dark until you cranked the treble/presence, and then it just got harsh/brittle.

Nice job on the video.

I had a Deliverance 120 and 60 in the same room for several days and the 120 fits me better. Love the punch from these amps. Some days it's my favorite amp.
