I put my Deliverance on ebay today and I was offered a Pittbull 50 cl for it. I was really looking to unload some gear but wouldn't mind trying it. If I decide to sell a 50cl will I get as much as I would for my Deliverance? Iv'e had an Ultralead before, is it pretty much the same thing?

I guess I sould have mentioned that i'm new here and have finally made the move to RT. Thanks

50 cl is a cool amp, it's a 2 channel so it sits between the UL and Deliverance. You could setup the channels on the CL for dirty rhythm on one channel then a lead on the other, or clean and dirty. I owned an UL years ago but not a CL, but when i played a CL i thought it was in the ballpark minues one channel.

Never owned a Deliverance. Ask Greazygeo, he's a VHT user and dealer i believe.

I haven't played a Deliverance or 50cl, but since I own an Ultra Lead I'll do my best to chime in!

From what I understand, the 50cl is not too far from a UL, just not as heavy. Some bonus features of the 50cl over the Deliverance would be an effects loop, channel switching, and that tasty 6 band EQ they have, which I honestly couldn't live without on my UL. Value wise the Deliverance is only $100 cheaper new and both seem to go for the same price used.

I wish I could tell you more, but I think it's a good deal if you look at the features you'll gain.

Welcome to the forum by the way! Cheers!

Matt

Does that 50cl have eq or not? Is your deliverance 60 or 120W?

Anyway, 50CL doesn't fully compare to UL. First of all, whole different powertubes. 50cl has EL34 (or 6l6 ect.) and UL has kt88, bit different preamp sections for what I have understood, UL has 3 channels ect. So they are different. But 50CL is not bad, it's versitale comparing to other amps and in it's specific area it excels very well. In my opinion, in übermetalsounds it's not quite there, but definetely close those too.

When comparing 50CL to deliverance, well, some like daughter, some mother. With these amps, for example you have same major difference in powersection (el34vs.kt88). But thinkin tradewisely; they seem to go approximately same price, but I would prefer 50cl anyway. Specially if 50CL has eq+reverb, it's really not so bad deal at all for my opinion. Of course, you've to consider condition of 50cl, how old tubes ect. vs. your deliverance's condition.

Hopefully this helps.

eDIT: oh, it took me ages of writing this post (thanks to my lovely daughter), danyeo and Phrygian got way ahead of me..

I liked the CL that I played much better than the deliverance that I owned. I would probably do the trade. I would think you could get more for the CL than the deliverance...

So I could get rid of a cl for about the same price, thats a plus. I'm metal all the way, so thats a concern. I don't really care either way for alot of versalility or an eq, but having reveb is cool, especially because I don't like messing with pedals and stuff.

Is this amp as tight? How about the gain?
,Thanks

probably a good trade $$$wise, BUT..................I think the D sounds better than the PBCL

Yeah, I like the Deliverance better than the Utralead I had...but maybe thats because the UL has like a billion knobs, buttons, sliders. It was such a pain to mess with, every time I sat down I was changing something. I found sounds I liked right away with the Deliverances 5 knobs(slight exaggeration).

If I would have spent alot more time with the UL maybe I would have liked it more, idk. I'm more of a plug'n'play kinda guy though.

Deliverance's preamp is based on UL green channel, for what I have understood, they are very close, and when poweramp section is basically same (kt88), there should be vere similar tones dialed from both of amps. In UL there also red channel, which takes tone much further and that's why I like UL much more. But I agree that deliverance is more easy to approach.

Both are great, as well as 50cl. VHT.. Fryette rocks

I would def grab the 50CL

I have a Sig:X & 100CL so I'll try & give you my opinion.
Although I haven't played thru a Deliverence I understand that the Sig's rhythm channel is very close.
However upon getting the 100CL , I knew immediatley that it was the prefered amp.
It (the CL ) can bring the heavy NO PROBLEM plus if it has the eq, you can tailor your sound even more
You said you're a plug & play dude as well so I think you'll still be at home with a 50CL. A real cool amp with a few great options ala: effects loop, boost & eq.

I guess my main preference for the CL is that I'm an EL34 kinda guy
