Video with G-Major 2 OD100se+ Whomp II, E34L's, MXR Microamp

Here's a very short video featuring my new G-Major2. It's just a basic solo patch with pitch detune, dly and rev. I haven't had time to play with it very much.

My OD100se+ now has WhompII and I just changed the power tubes to JJ E34L (NOT EL34's).
Another thing I am monkeying with is an MXR Microamp instead of the Wylde O/D. The Microamp keeps the original tone and adds a little gain without cutting bottom end.
I have the Whomp II in the middle position.

I'm not as fat as I look in the video, geez talk about bad posture :)

It's a chorus type effect but nicer to my ears. It's what I used to use with my Eventide H3000se to get that VanHalen type chorus.
Over the years I have put it further back in the mix so it's pretty subtle.

Mark,that detune, is it -12 one side and +12 the other?

Cool! :) Mark, I think I read somewhere that you owned a G-Force in the past but changed to a G-Major because of fx change spillover etc. How would you compare the fx quality in the G-Maj2 compared to the G-Force? How's the pitch shifter in the G-Maj2?

Excellent as always, Mark! Glad to see I'm not the only guy who prefers the Detune over a chorus. For my lead patches, I am generally very random with where I set the cents and delay in the detune. There's something nice to having -10 on one side and 13 on the other, instead of being symmetrical.

I'm hoping to add the GM2 to my rack this year.
 
The Microamp is my favorite boost ever. It makes my amp sound like... MORE. Does that make sense? :confused: And my buddy just gave it to me for FREE! :rock:

I used to use one a million years ago with a Furman PQ3 into an old Marshall head...it was freaky good. So I thought I'd give a try again....I'm lovin it!

I set them up to get pretty much the same sounds.

The GMajor2 has Intelligent Pitch Shifting which is really cool.
