I was wondering what kind of screws (brass, chrome, etc.) would have been used with a brass neck plate on the old Charvels. Apparently, no one likes to take photos of the back of their guitars. :D

I'm converting a black USA San Dimas Pro Mod to look more vintage. I'll also need to get a new knob, pickup selector and jack plate. Does anyone know a good placer to get old looking ones?

sah5150 would be the man to ask.

He definitely would!

I bought a brass plate off ebay and the screws weren't brass. They were also the wrong size so I have to replace them anyway.

I did the same thing with a Charvel USA San Dimas in Candy Blue that I found on Craigslist. Added all the Brass parts and Limited 1984 OFR to it. Has a killer 4AAAA Birdseye neck and zebra SD RTM/Jazz combo. I opted for stainless steel screws for the neck plate which I got from Chubtone Guitars. They also carry all the vintage brass parts as well. Hit Curt at Squid Music up, I'm sure he'll hook you up with all you need.
