Hello,

Have you seen this new multi fx, the Vintage Revolution PedalPro ? It's a full analogue multi fx with digital controls :

The PedalPro Multi-effect is the world's first professional hybrid analogue multi-effect. With no patch cables and only the best high-end audio components, the PedalPro brings you the holy grail of sound effects units: a state-of-the-art analogue effects chain in which the parameters of every effect can be controlled, stored and recalled at the press of a button - and even modified live using an expression pedal.
14 classic analogue effects are included in the PedalPro. Every effect is designed to work together simultaneously and in any number of configurations without any degradation to the sound.
But PedalPro is much more than 14 of the best vintage effects. PedalPro allows you to control, store and recall the settings of every effect's parameters. Unlike digital sound processing units, PedalPro uses a smart, four-processor based architecture that enables you to control your analogue effects without the sound ever being digitised.
Which means you get the best, studio-quality analogue sound available on the market - along with a creative scope and flexibility never before thought possible.

What makes it so revolutionary?
- 14 classic analogue effects: a solid state compressor/limiter, a JFET distortion, a stereo optical noise gate, a fasel-based optical wah, vowel generators, envelope filters, an optical phaser, a tremolo panner, a boost, a BBD chorus-flanger-delay, and a stereo volume pedal.
- Only the highest-end audio components, bringing you an unbeatable sound, maximum transparency, and ultra-low noise performance.
- Ability to assign your own expression pedal to any analogue parameter including the wah, wet/dry, volume, gain, depth, tempo and many others.
- Option to integrate external effects via pre and post loops.
- More sound options and the ability to produce entirely new sounds thanks to the number of parameters and modulation functions.
- One high-input impedance JFET buffer that replaces several multi-stage stomp box buffers.
Intuitive and easy to use.
- A higher headroom and dynamic due to 30V internal power supply (+/-15V).
- 21 golden-plated moisture-free relays to provide the optimum connection between your effects and true bypass.
- Silent switching between presets.
- Wide range of routing possibilities.
- Full recall and storage of 500 complete analogue presets and an unlimited number on a MAC/PC-based preset library using USB interface.
- Made in the Netherlands with the tightest manufacturing quality control to ensure total reliabilty and a lifelong investment.

It seems quite nice, except the high gain stuff. I can't wait to read the manual to see what it can do. Unfortunately the price tag is high : 1999 € :scared:

I'm going to try one out for a few days. ETA on these for purchase?

You have to give us a review when you've tried it. It does look very interesting!

Man... Watching Pete's videos is the most expensive thing you can do on YouTube.

They have a 30-day return policy so I'm going to take the plunge...

Sounds good. I will wait until midi is worked out :D

I believe it is.
Any place in the USA carry them Yet?
Does it get hooked up 4cm?

Let us know more when you get it. What amp will you be using with it?

They have a loop upgrade for 4cm. I plan on using it with my Soldano Hiwatt/SLO. I emailed them about moving the first loop after their OD/Boost Distortion so I can add a pedal or 2 of my own and possibly use their OD as well into the front end of the amp. Right now the first loop is before their ODs. I would use the pedals in the front end of the Soldano, Soldano into my TwoNotes LIVE, LIVE into the return of the first loop of the VR. Then my "mic'd tone will go through the time based fx, second VR loop (stereo) for reverb. VR out to wedges or a power amp/cab.

Nothing in the USA yet.

Waiting to hear back about cost. I was told a week build time and then just whatever shipping will take.

You would think the loops would be setup already pre/post fx

Kinda reminds me of the old Ibanez EU401 effect units. I might pick one up and see if I can get RJM to make a cable to switch it with a mini amp gizmo instead of using the foot switch. This reminded me about that plan

We use to have one and my buddy would tweak the delay knob while playing creating some crazy stuff. I want to take out the delay pot and put a jack for exp pedal in it :D

I was able to speak with Max, the designer, today. The MIDI will be done in a couple of weeks. The loops are for a 4cable method if you need. He definitely has a great passion for making the best equipment using both analog tone and digital control.

So, I am going to give the Pedalino a try as well. It seems to be a perfect match for the PedalPro.

I am going to try the PedalPro as a stand alone unit with a clean amp, and also with a straight power amp, into some cabs. And then as a stand alone with my Two-Notes LIVE into frfr as well.

Then with an amp in a 4 cable method and some external pedals into the above 3 systems.

Really looking forward to giving this a try.

Sounds like an awesome weekend.

This is a really nice piece of gear! Would solve a lot of pedal and routing costs. It is pretty expensive though....

Still....Pete Thorn's demo just kills in that! Fantastic!

:)

Well, less than a pedal board with the same fx, without the control. And if you were to buy a new Eventide Eclipse or Lexicon PCM or even Axe FX it is in at, or less, than those. For me it will really depend on the tones. It doesn't do everything an Axe FX does, but does it do what it does better? Maybe, maybe not. Same with the others. Just depends on your needs and preference. They have a 30 day $ back guaranty so it's worth trying out I think.

I think the fx will be stellar - it's the drives and boost that will be interesting to try, :)

Have you received the PP yet? I'm dying to hear a review of it!
