Picked up this body from MJT guitars recently. I've never done a vintage build and am looking for suggestions on what kind of bridge to put on this thing. Was checking out Callaham and considering their vintage S strat trem - thoughts? Also looking at picking up their Fralin loaded pick guard to install; have a musikraft neck to complete the package.

Paging Steve Henning

Love my gotoh 510t with graph tech saddles, tusq xl nut, and hipshot locking tuners.

The Callaham vintage S strat bridges are awesome. That is what I had in my Franky clone. Stays in tune incredibly well for a strat bridge. I might have an extra one sitting around if you want it...

KIller project - that paint looks great! MJT are awesome...

Gotoh makes a relic version of their steel block bent saddle vintage trem that also has the benefit of having a slightly more modern narrower 2 3/16" string spacing Vs the vintage 2 7/32" which some people find problematic with falling off the fretboard on the high E string passed the 15th fret or so.

Buying through an allparts dealer is always cheaper than direct from the allparts site, so do some googling/ebay searching of the model number for a dealer with a better price than direct.

Callaham offers both 2 7/32" and 2 1/16"

The Callaham is a great bridge, but I prefer the Gotoh 510. Both play and sound great, but the trem feel is much nicer overall on the Gotoh between the way the trem arm loads and the angled design of the block that gets you a bit more arm travel on dives.

I love my Dimarzio Area loaded pickguard I got from Sigler Music (via eBay)! If you want silent, I highly recommend the Area pickups, and Sigler's workmanship is top notch.
