Vitamin D + Immunity: How it Helps Stamp Out Over-Active Immune Responses

Watched that guy's channel before. It's pretty solid

This obsession over vitamins and minerals is insane. The grifters are out in-force at every level, pumping their "increased immunity" products. Eat right and you're fine. If you're drinking RO Pure (distilled) water, you'll need to focus on comsuming an increased amount of calcium and magnesium rich foods. Whole foods beat supplements every time. The best method of keeping your immune system in top-form, is infectant exposure. Wearing masks and social distancing is the antithisis of the latter.

Expertly designed to protect and preserve life, your immune system ranks supreme. Unless you're suffering from some form of congenital abnormality (or other issues) that prevents your body from producing antibodies, you're good to go. So much of our food is lacking in nutrients; due to overharvesting, that it makes sense to have your nutrient and mineral levels checked once per year. If taking supplements makes you feel better, I would stick with a good daily multivitamin.

This is grade school level science, so I'm at a loss as to how so many are ignorant to estabished facts? Has science and biology been removed from school cirriculum? If so, it must have happened wihtin the last 30 years.

I think the argument at least with vitamin D3, is that you don't get enough of it during the winter months and that's when most people get sick.
Seafood, eggs and milk are my go-to sources for vitamin D. D3 is produced by your body, so you need to be careful when taking D3 supplements. A balanced diet and exposure to sunlight are key. If you live in a heavily clouded area, visiting a tanning spa during the winter months is all you need.
