I can tell you mine came right out of the box. PV was around 490 and Rick had the bias set to 32MA which is right on the money and exactly where I would have calculated and set it.

Whenever I receive an amp back from rick I always check the bias (out of curiosity). I have a M/C I and I think the pv is around 500... he always sets the JJ's at 40+ which I think is overkill, but he does it every time... haha I set it back to 32ma of current draw everytime. It cleans up a little bit but the amp has enough gain for what I need already.
