Volume 2 control via MIDI on diezel herbert/vh4

hi all,

i finally have the power packed duo of a vh4 and a herbert! the true definition of heavenly bliss (along with an axe-fx to fiddle at home :-)

my problem i have come upon is that i have an ground control pro to control the channel switching of my diezel amp. what i'm wondering is: can i set a switch for each channel and then a separate switch to activate volume 2 (on herbert) or send 2 (vh4). if so how?

what i'm doing now is tedious in that i have a ton of presets
1. channel 1 v2 off
2. channel 1 v2 on
3. channel 2 v2 off and so forth. with 4 channels, each with the v2 it makes it hard to switch on the fly. is there a way to assign volume 2 as a separate entity?

Yes, by using the 4 preset mode with the 8 instant access switches.

I'm pretty sure the instant access switches only send CC midi messages which the diezels won't respond to.

My answer is I don't think so. I've tried and I don't think it's possible other than the way you're doing it.

Believe me bro! If he could make CC´s that would solve all my little switching problems.
F.e., i don´t like it to set my effect unit at -6db to use it as a lead boost. I use a fcb1010 foot controller with that uno iprom. So i use the lower row for my pc´s and the upper for my cc´s. In that case the upper row is my stopmbox mode. If Herby could understand cc´s i wouldn´t use the -6db. I would use the V2 for leaad boost.
The only solution to do that is to buy myself a Rocktron all access and use the first two row´s as pc. so i can prove the second row with the same presets with v2 on. The third would be stmopboxmode.
But i don´t want to spend more than 1000 euros for the all access.
 
Last night I checked how I configured my presets and I remembered wrong. I have done them with PCs not with CCs. I apologize the misinformation I suggested.

If Diezels do not understand CCs I think something should be done to this thread.

if peter speaks about cc messages for diezel in an extra thread it should work... bato, just call him and tell the others here how it works
 
To clear it up there are no CC messages available
on the amps. It would need to control the setting
on the amp before switching. This data control is
not available now.
