does anyone else have this problem at all?

i have the MXR in one of my loops of a GCX audio switcher running into the effects loop on my Powerball.
Every time i engage the pedal my volume drops a little bit and it's kind of annoying.

is there some component (resistor, capacitor, etc) that i can change out so this doesn't happen?

Try it in front of your amp... do you have any other pedals running in the loop? It's probably because your fx loop is line level, and it's a pedal.

I always run a Phaser in front too. Kind of hard throwing something in the loop when you can't adjust levels on it.

yeah i have a few other pedals in the loop...delay, reverb, whammy but none of those really effect the overall volume at all.

i could try running it in front and see what happens.

What he said. Loop is at +4dB line level but pedal is at -10dB level. Hence the drop in volume.
Just run it in front.
