I have been promising Trace a family photo and a little bit of promotion for some time now. I just finished up jamming and thought this was the perfect photo op.

Most mods and amp offerings are listed on his website. The ODS-60 is new, there were two made in the first run. I have one and the other is owned by Mark Tremonti. It's based on a Dumble Overdrive Special. The CP100 specs are not listed on his site, but Trace describes it here: http://voodooampsbbs.yuku.com/topic/514#.T2TmbdmyXmc. Both of these amps are completely hand wired and use the chassis only to house Trace's hand wired work. All the other mods and amps are well detailed on http://www.voodooamps.com/.

Pictured, clockwise from bottom left: 4x12 WGS loaded, V-Rock DL100, 2x12 WGS loaded, JCM2000 DSL Metal Mod, ODS-60 Platinum Mod (new head shell & faceplate soon), Plexi Reissue HG-Jose Platinum Mod, CP100 Platinum Mod.

I'm sure Trace will be happy to talk to you about any of them, as would I.

Talk to me about that Bassman. Got clips of it?

I'm working on getting setup for clips shortly, I hope. I just got the rehearsal spot all together and I'm not setup for recording quite yet. The Bassman is the ODS-60 Platinum Mod, based on a Dumble Overdrive Special. It's equipped with a ODS/Hemi switch, the ODS is pure Dumble the Hemi was named after Mark heard it and said something to the effect of it sounding like a Dumble charged by a Dodge Hemi engine. It also has a Mids switch (contours the mids) and Bright switch (no explanation needed). Drive, Master, and Presence are also included. The Drive works in with the Gain, along with the Master. Very versatile one channel amp. Also has a tube fx loop added. Trace would be able to give more details on Mark's story and the amp itself. I've forwarded the link to Trace and I'm sure he'll be by to answer questions I can't.

That sounds very interesting. Be sure to post those clips as soon as you get them.

Cool man. I sold a few of my voodoo items, but I still have a few left. ;)

What WGS are you using?

Retro 30 & HM75 in an X pattern in the 4x12 and one of each in the 2x12. I think they sound great.

Nice collection! I am thinking of sending an old jmp I have collecting dust out for some mods but not sure just what yet.

I have known Trace for around 10 years and he has always been a class act, one of the forums really good guys.

I always say I need to get to his shop, it is turning into a bucket list type trip

I've only known him around 3 years now, but Trace is a great guy for sure. He always has time to talk when I have questions and we end up having an hour conversation. I can't say enough good things about him.

A trip to Voodoo is on my bucket list too. I can only begin to imagine all the fun toys around that place.

NICE!!! I was as Drew's a couple weeks ago and he wouldn't let me play any of these amps. He made me stand there with a beer just looking at them. :(

I didn't think we were going to be sitting around that long. Otherwise, I would have fired up a few of them. Got my amp warming up now, bring a guitar. :D

I'm not saying Kool and the Gang isn't cool...but the collection of Voodoo amps and the beer was cooler.

I won't forget the confounded and worried look Drew had on his face when he plugged me into his V-Rock to try out for the first time. He turned it off stand-by. Then I hit a chord. It was a very nice clean tone. He looked at me all confused. It took me a second to figure out what I think he was thinking : "oh shit!!! my amp's fucked." I laughed. My SG is wired to go from clean to screaming lead using just a single channel amp set full-on. When I hit the first couple notes, my guitar was set to "clean" and the V-Rock gave me a beautiful clean tone. I then relieved his concerns when I switched pick-ups and the V-rock started screaming. VERY nice amp. I don't think I even tried the clean channel because the lead channel cleaned up so well with my guitar.

That is a great photo and I am so glad you connected with our work and amps Drew. I think we should all come to your house this weekend for a jam session! (lol)

Love the photo!! :)

I have a full band MP3's clips that we finished but they are on the Mac (in our control room) and I have to pull them off there so I can upload/email them. I say this as all of our computers are PC's and the Mac we use for Pro Tools is not connected to the internet. If you have email please let me know and I would be happy to email it to you.

Thanks! :)

Very nice! Question, I see a lot of amps that look like marshall super leads with different names on them, are these home made usually?

There are (4) amps on the right hand side of Drew's pic. There are (3) that were Marshalls and we installed our logo on the head box for Drew. The other is a Fender Bassman 60 that we stripped and rebuilt as a OSD-Mod.

Hope that helps! :)

The one on top is a modded DSL100, then the Bassman which is entirely hand wired ODS60 mod, the next is a HG-Jose Marshall mod and at the bottom is a JCM800 that is actually a hand-wired CP100 mod. There's a link in the original post where Trace talks about that in depth. If you have any specific questions give Trace a call or email. You can always PM me as well and I'll give you as much information as I can. These are all great amps and Trace is a super awesome guy.

Very nice clips. My amp sounds that good, sadly my playing does not. Is that you playing Trace?
