Any V Rock owners out there who can give a quick review??? How does it compare to some of the other modded amps out there ?? Been interested in this amp for a long time and the clips on YouTube sound awsome. But it's always better to hear first hand from those who have played or owned one. Thanks in advance. I'm mainly interested in the single lead model with rock/ brutal mod.

I've got a vrock 100 without the brutal mod, and it's a great amp. This amp runs dead quite and has great tone and plenty of gain. Great for 80's rock. I do use a suhr koko boost infront and it sounds great. It's a loud amp and I had mine installed with a 1/2 power switch for bedroom practice. The build quality is top notch and Voodoo Amps has great customer service.

Good to know. Yea the build quality looks top notch. Does the amp clean up reasonably well with the guitar volume??

It cleans up ok, but if you want to play really clean stuff the vrock dual lead might be better for you. I run my vrock in a wet/dry/wet setup and if I want a semi clean tone I use an eq as a cut with a compressor. Voodoo does custom orders too, so if you have a specific tone your chasing, just call trace.

I have the exact Vrock you are asking about. To my ears, this amp matched with a VooDoo 4x12 cabinet is the best "modded Marshall" tone I have ever heard. It is built from the ground up with high quality components and the tone is very consistent, unlike modded Marshalls from the 80s.

Is the amp dry and tight, or a little loose and sustainy ( is that a word !?) tight and percussive is cool, but I hate a real dry sound that you have to fight to play. I like a little slinky vibe. The clips I have heard don't sound dry at all.
