Can the GCP if combined with the GCX call up multiple loops at once with a single "stomp"? I'm looking to rack my pedals and be able to call up various combinations and amp channel changes all at once. I already have a GCP so I would just need the GCX if it does what I need.

Yes you can have any combination of loops you want on a preset. You can also kick them in individually if you want to just use an effect on the fly. Its a nice setup. You can even include amp control switching too if you need it.

Very cool, thanks!

Anybody have a GCX that they want to move?

Been thinking about it... I want to get a MCF101 for my axe-fx

And you should...that was my plan before I just traded my Axe. The other guitarist in my hard rock/metal band got one and I thought it was amazing...much cooler than my GCP.

PM me if you want to move it

Yeah thinking of moving the GCP not the GCX. I sold the GCX last year and replaced it with the RJM RG-16

RJM is the way to go, you have to modify the GCX to make it work as good as the RJM..
What exactly do you need to modify on the GCX, and what's the end result?

You have to have patch cables between each loop on the gcx. With the RJM you don't so it eliminates buy or making 8 more cable. The rg16 Aldo has 8 amp control jacks or the 2 jacks gor the RJM cable to your amp. That means the RJM has 16 jacks and a tuner out jack. The RG16 also has buttons on the front so you can choose you chain and a write button so you fo not need yo go into the GCP to program it. Alot easier, very well thought out.

Thanks Jamie - I remember you telling me something similar to this a couple week ago, but only now that I have the GCX in front of me do I realize exactly what you meant. The one thing that's putting me off about the RG-16 is the construction - the fact that the jacks do not have nuts that secure them to the chassis (like the GCX does). I read an older review of the RG-16, and it said that they were coming out with an updated version to address problems with the jacks. I emailed RJM and they told me the updated version was done and has been out for quite some time - but the updated version still does not have the jacks secured to the chassis.

I have not had a problem with the jacks. They are strong and secure.
