My Wah recommendations thread generated so much info I am actually kind of confused. So I thought, why not take a vote? I don't want anything specialized, just a good all-around wah. The ones listed seem to get the most recommendation.

Thanks!

None of them gets my vote. A dimebag crybaby from hell is the most versatile wah I've used and is my favorite. The 95q is my second favorite.

Teese Standard. Side by side with Dime Bag and Budda. Smoked 'em.

Are there any good Youtube clips that demonstrate them? I need some explanation with it. If it is just some guys foot with some wailing it doesn't help me.

These are just the ones that seemed to come up the most in the other thread. Let me edit it- I think I can add those.

Here's a nice AB vid Clyde vs Teese Wizard.

Proguitarshop demo of the Teese Picture Wah

Another Gearmandude vid A/B/C vid with Clyde, Budda, and Crybaby Classic

Teeses Picture Wah for clean and bluesy stuff, Wizard for higher gain and RMC3 for all purpose!

I owned all three, and a Vox from the late sixtys, and a George Dennis, and a Cry Baby.

looks and sounds nice!

  At least Gear Man Dude has nice boots.

I want to like the Fulltone, because I love the hardware and the housing, but that first video says it all. Teese was much richer and more vocal in my opinion.

I own a Teese RMC3LE and a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe.

I really like the Teese for more vintage type stuff and is more tweakable, but has a more drastic effect between a no wah sound and wah engaged sound if that makes sense.

The Fulltone retains more of my true sound and IMHO overall does a better clean, crunch and high-gain & has been on pedalboard for the last three years and stays.

I really like the idea of the switchless wah (Bad Horsie). Is that the only one of it's kind that is worth stepping on?

I haven't had a wah on my board for a while now because the Snarling Dogs (I have had two and love the tone when being used) seem to be pretty big tone suckers when not being used.

Jack Black can afford some real gator! :D

Good thread! ...and Poll! Definitely agree. Fulltone Clyde Deluxe!

That seems to be what is winning so far, but I dunno- It's pricey. Does anybody know what the standard one is like?

Dunno. I could search... I think it's like $50 less, or something like that. I'd be happy with the standard too. I have my Deluxe set at the "standard" setting anyway most of the time.

I just added the CAE Wah to my toy box, and I really like it a lot. The different tone selections are BOTH usable and nice sounding on both clean and over driven tones. The boost works GREAT!!! I do wish the boost worked independently of having the wah active, but all in all I dig it.
