VOX module ... what kind of power amp tubes go best?

Thinking about picking up the Vox. I've been running those El34B Tung Sols that I'm hooked on so I was wondering. Anyone else running the Vox into EL34 power amp tubes? What do you run yours with?

+1 on the 6550's. (at least w/ my vht 2/90/2) I love my TungSol 6550s!!!!

In my mod 50 I switch between Tungsol 5881's and Tungsol 6550's.

Yep, I have Sovtek 6550's in my 2150 and one of my seminar heads.

Yeah, I have tried it in both and totally prefer it with the 5881s!

Cool John. I am not oposed to going back to the tried and true 5881, it's a great sound. I really have my EG3/4 dialed in delivering spectacular, dreamed about all my life, clean yourself up after playing type of distortion tones right now. The EL34, EG3/4 with TungSol 12AX7 in V1 and EH in V2 is putting a smile on my face every time I turn it on. I am also playing my Les Paul religiously right now. It's the go to machine of choice and I'm really into the classic combination of Eggie designed Marshall tones and EL34. I also read over at TGP that a lot of Les Paul players run through an Xotic BB Booster into thier Vox amps. Got me to thinkin' you know? It must be pretty
