Wait for Strymon Zuma or not?

The mere mention that Strymon was getting into the power supply game led me to purchase a stupid amount of pedals this year. I've been waiting so long, that it's begun to lose meaning haha. Is it fanboyism to wait when there are other options on the market (MONDO, etc)?

Anyway, any wisdom or chat is welcome

I think if you have to ask the question... you should wait. You won't be happy if you buy the other guy. Realistically, does it do anything another brand won't? Probably not. Will it cost more? Probably. Do we care? No-we're guitarists

I don't know how anyone can really do something so insanely better than what's out there already from Cioks, Voodoo, etc.

I suppose the Strymon Zuma having two outlets that will do 9/12/18v is what keeps me waiting. Don't remember seeing other reputable supplies that went that high in voltage?

Just got my Zuma in the mail, will post impressions when I get time to try it out!

MXR power brick has been great! Plus it has 2 - 18v and 8 - 9v outs.

Just got mine last week. Gigged if this weekend. It's very light and pretty small (narrow at least). Cords are a lot more robust then other units I've used. I really like that all outputs gave 500 mA @ 9v. I used 3-4 Strymon pedals so that's a big plus. Between the light weight and power options it's a big win.

Sounds like a nice product. I am curious about the Friedman product that is coming as well. I need another unit and am unsure if I should just get another Cioks unit or try the Strymon or wait for the Friedman power supply? I doubt I could go wrong with any of them in all truth.

I have a DC 10 and this thing is like 1/2 the weight and has more mA per isolated outputs. If your running Strymon pedal(s) I'd get it or wait for the Friedman. The DC10 is great but it's a tank compared to this. And I like the power cords on the Strymon a lot better. Cioks cords were a little generic. One thing I don't like is that the Strymon didn't come with mounting brackets so I'm using heavy duty Velcro right now.

I currently use the MXR-ISO Brick which is great but I am eagerly awaiting the Friedman unit as well.

Haven't yet put mine through its full paces, but did a few A/B noise comparisons with my overdrive pedals bewteen Zuma power and battery power. Negligible difference bewteen the two, if it were a blind test I don't know if I could tell which was more quiet.

Pretty happy so far, now I just need to get my hands on a few more patch cables to wire up the rest of my pedals.
