I returned a guitar to MF, and they've had it over a week. I'm growing impatient waiting for a refund, emails go unanswered, hold times on the phone are ridiculous, and I still get "I don't know", regarding when I'll get my money back. WTF? Do I escalate a dispute, since I paid via Paypal? This is bullshit.

Went through this once with an amp, it took over a week for sure. The exchange process was going to take so long that I just bought a new version of the amp, and then let them do their lengthy return process on the faulty one.

Man they told me 2 weeks last time I talked to one of those robots

Took them about 2 weeks to refund me on a returned defective guitar after their receipt of it. I've found their customer service all around has gone downhill (DRASTICALLY!) these last couple years.
It took Music store Live around 2.5-3 weeks after receipt of returned guitar to refund me on a Mayones with issues.
Took Music Zoo about 1.5 weeks to refund me from their receipt of a damaged returned guitar.

Seems like most places aren't in any rush to get you your money back.

Nobody cares more about your money than you. I've learned the hard way one too many times.

Problem is, they're flooded with weekend warriors that buy stuff to "try", and milk the return policy. The poor bastards like myself, who return for legitimate reasons, (defects/broken parts/blems), have to wait until the sift through the "just don't likes", and "don't really needs" for weeks.

They basically told me they're backed up from people returning Christmas gifts they didn't like, (which is understandable). But, HIRE SEASONAL HELP for crying out loud.

Refunds are always a nail-biter. It's frustrating and takes too long, but I've rarely had trouble getting my money back. Let us know how it comes out.

I never milked anything.

Buy from GC online. Dump it off at your local GC and get credit for your return on the spot.

Took three DiMarzio Tone Zones before I got one that wasn't microphonic. On the first return, they sent me a new one as soon as I called to get an RMA #. The second one they waited until they had it back in their possession before sending me the third one. Not a big deal.
