i need to try a ernie ball ..i see alot of people playing them yet ive never did, mainly because i try to stay out of guitar center..  do they really play that good ?

I kinda dig it. Seems to borrow from Schroeder with that reverse V maple. And you know it's gonna play like buttah.

The only thing I don't get is why neck through instead of set neck? Look at how much of that neck block they have to cut away. Seems really wasteful. They take a railroad tie and turn it into a guitar neck...

LoL at the EB guys drooling over it, that thing is hideous... much prefer my plain black JP6, action is laying on the fretboard with zero buzz, damn thing plays itself...

Agreed.

I personally like the way EBMM guitars are made, but seem to take issue with certain specs on everyone I've ever played or owned and have heard others say the same. What they need in the worst way is a Custom Shop to allow their customers to have more neck choices (main complaint from most), fret choices, pickup choices, etc.

But then everybody would bitch when the prices go up accordingly...

Not the ones that can afford it,....the rest can buy their regular models. But on a side note, I believe their prices on their regular models are a bit higher than they actually should. For example, new Axis's go for like around $1800, but you can get them used for $1k or under all day long.

Too bad it's a weird looking Guitar.

I mean -I love the fact that they are offering their first neck thru- but how about something conventional also in a neck through ?

It's actually a pretty good looking guitar... the problem for me is the 2 tone finish and the white binding on the V in the body. Take the binding away altogether (or just make it masked), and change it to something like a flame maple V with natural maple for rest of the top, use 2 tints that are more similar, and it might change some minds.
