Here is some pics of my new warmoth I just put together .
Birdseye maple neck/fret board with abalone dot inlays . Neck has standard thin contour and Stainless Steel frets .
Body is Alder . Duncan '59 in the Bridge ans a Duncan stk-s4 neck .
I also bought the big brass block for the floyd . That sucker is big and adds nice sustain .
First new guitar in 16 years !! I've been gigging with an HRR srat that is very tired so this is nice ..

you don't know how many times i've contemplated something like this over the years. looks fun!

Nice!

Man 16 years with the same main guitar, I am sure that baby has some stories on it.

There's something about solid black guitars with a sweet maple fingerboard that is teh pure secks

Same here. I regularly scour Warmoth's site for just the right pieces to show up in the Showcase.

Sweet guitar, btw.

where did you get the Brass block from? Is it worth the cash?

cheers tony

BTW guitar looks sweet

Thanks Guys !!
Its plays real real nice . When I first put the neck on I did'nt realize you have to tighten the neck pocket truss first . It was ok then , but after I took it off and took care of that the action is incredible .This is the warmoth pro w/ 2 rods .
The stainless steel frets and the extra meat from the block make it sustain like i've never felt before . Well , my other guitar is very tired , so I was used to that ..lol
The Block was $32 from floydupgrades.com . I think its worth it , maybe some will feel different . Its twice the size !
Couple more pics , including my paint stick block ..lol

You don't know how many times over the years I've done this :D Heck man, my two favorite Warmoths get picked up more than my two Suhrs. They are the black one in the center and the sunburst one on the right. All Warmoth's:

what size are those frets? and when you received it did you have to do anything to it or was it 100% ready to bolt on to your body? im real interested in ordering one for a strat body i have sittin around..

The Frets are 6105 Stainless steel .
You have to put on the tuners and string tree and whatever else you want on there ..
Most of the stuff you can get right from warmoth if you choose .
Some of the Necks in the superstore are complete though , so check there first .
I really like the SS frets...smooooooth

well the tuners are a given, i meant is any sanding or fret dressing/leveling required, but i guess not!

No I did'nt have to do any of that work . Frets are perfect and ready to go .
I ordered mine with the satin finish . You can get necks unfinished also if you want to do the fret work yourself .

Every neck I've ever received from anywhere, including Warmoth, needed at least some minor fret work and, of course, truss rod adjustment...

Especially a maple neck where the frets are seated first and then the lacquer is sprayed. It's hard, however, to find local techs willing to work on SS frets.

yep, you can see from the pic that the fret edges need filed or rolled or whatever to wanna call it.

i took a small file to the edges of my SS Warmoth frets. there's no way in hell i could play it they way they sent it out, those edges would drive me batshit!

oh! nice guitar, just get them edges worked over!

Looks sweet, do you think that I (a person who doesnt know much about setting up guitars) would be able to put one together like you did? I am really interested in putting together a musikraft guitar.
