Was this a factory finish option for Charvel DK24s?

There's a local guy selling this DK24, doesn't say what year. I asked if it was a factory finish or if it had been sanded down due to there being some "weathering" on the forearm contour. He said it was a factory finish option around 2017 but I can't find any evidence. It looks soooooorta close to the ones they did in Korea that had the wild colors on the grain but no plain ol' dark brown ones.

My gut says no. However, they did release a black sassafras model. Is this one of them?

Sassafras or Ash. Is it MIM or Korea??

I've seen some ash with little or no clear coat but I've never seen a factory relic DK

I did find this when I googled 2018 DK24 color options, so that may have been a factory finish....just seen better days.

I really like rough black satin finishes on ash like that but damn that one has taken a beating.
