Wool or fuzzy? No frickin way, tight, clear, big, wide, fat, beautifuL!

Any chance for a clip?

No recording gear. Sorry, I sold it all

:banhim:

See Rig Talk rule #186: Though shall have recording gear capable enough to make a 30 second clip

On a serious note, I would be curious if you think that the Goodwood in your LP sounds like the GoodWood from James Lugo's clips

You would have to link me his Goodwood clip, don't have time to look. Dealing with a family medical emergency. :(

Here are some Godwood clips:

It is by far my favorite bridge pickup in a Les Paul. I have tried just
about everything in the boutique realm and this has required by far
the least amount of tone tweaking. It sounds great out of the box,
you can hear all the right frequencies without having to fight any
spikes or dips.

Those clips sound great. Nice playing too. :)

I like the Godwood and Goodwood, but prefer the Goodwood (9.4K) so having Jim make me another. :)

How many versions and name of this pickup are there? I think I typed it as Goodwood, but it should have been Godwood all the time.

I have the Godwood set in my SG and I also got the electronic kit wired 50's style. Best pickup setup I have had so far.

Cherry bucker (old Goodwood) - 9.4k
Godwood - 10K

I much prefer the stock Gibson HB-L and HB-R and CTS 500K audio taper pots! :) :) :)

I read a few threads on the Gibson HB-L and HB-R, pretty mixed reviews, but generally bad.

I could CARE LESS, LOL! All that matters to me is that I like em! Mt guitar tech said they are his favorite pickups as well. He turned me onto them! Love em!

Too bad you gave up all your recording equipment, I would have liked to hear clips of those HB-R and HB-L pickups.

Goodness, I hate recording so much. Recordings are useless if pickups anyway, there sooooooo many variables that make up your tone. My burst LP always sounds like itself regardless if pickups.

I just think people get carried away with pickups, they make such a small difference. There are so many more variables that are vastly more important than pickups. For the most part, a well made guitar will always shine through. I may give the WCR GW another spin at rehearxsal but I really find my LP sounds like my LP regardless! What is it that people think they hear or feel inm WCR pickups? Just buy a Duncan, and save your money if you must.
