Thanks man. I've been up at the studio all night playing them. They both slay, I'm more of a Paul guy so the Paul is sitting around my neck now. The attention to detail on the build is amazing, the frets are perfect. I have a Standard Sunburst with the American Steele in it and this guitar sounds just as good. It's a little and darker and heavier which I like a lot.

Do you know if those are going to made-to-order or produced in quantity? I think I'll checkout his website as well.

Thanks...............and that studio is kicking more ass everyday.

I'm not sure how it is working, I think he's making them privately for people that want them.

The Strat came with 9's, so I'm taking off the plastic on the pickguard and throwing some 10s on her now.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one that changes pick up selection and plays with the volume knobs, while I am not plugged in.

I know I'm a dork. It's instinct from playing all my life, weird anomaly. I threw 10s on the Strat and she sounds so awesome, way more alive and dynamic then my 70's Fender Strat. Must be the lighter body and hand wound pups. Anyway, the Start is way more my trip with 10s, I can't play 9s anymore for some reason.

I think heavier strings make the biggest tone impact on a Strat! With single coils the pickups respond so well to bigger strings, I used to use 12's on 1 of my Strats but it was just to hard on the fingers but the tone was amazing!

Cool! How was the neck?

The necks are great on both. Personally I'm more of a Les Paul guy but both were built well and were very fast. The fret work was amazing and when I put the 10s on the Strat last night a re-intonated and it intonated perfectly so quickly.

Great sounding clips James! I particularly love the way the Strat sounds.

Last night after we put the 10s on the Strat we played it for a few hours through my '76 Marshall, man it just sings. Makes me want to get in a band and play 'Couldn't Stand The Weather'. :D

I briefly played his strat when he took it out to Tone Merchants. He does some nice work. The LP he had was very nice craftmanship. I did not get my hands on that one.

I have one of the WCR LP's on the way now, decked out just like the one that James has.
Can't wait to check it out!

Ove the Les Paul, even the strat, reminds me of the
plain early 60s strats.
