Dave,

How do you like the WCR Godwood or DarkBurst in an LP with the BE setting? Does the Godwood get muddy on the low-end?

What about the MCPs?

The Godwood is a good sounding pickup. I really have not played with the Darkburst so I can't comment. As far as the Motor Citys in a paul I like the 2nd degree Black Belts or the slightly more vintage the regular Black Belts. If you want hotter the afwayu those are my favorites and are whats in my guitar.

I have Godwood in the Paul....what do you recommend for a Strat?

When I got my Marsha I had planned on using it for hard rock/metal only. I ended up playing funk and blues on it at a jam session and I'm now contemplating using it for my blues gig...it sounded that good! My main blues axe is a James Burton Tele with a set of Lindy Fralin Vintage Hots (bridge is a +15% overwind with copper base plate). These pickups are a perfect match for the Marsha...from glassy spank on the clean channel (full clean) to muscular cleans on the BE channel with the guitars volume rolled back, to rip your head off blues lead tones with the guitar volume wide open and gain at 12:00.
