I agree. A life sentence is like terminal cancer. Theres no going home.
Costs the States over $100k a year per inmate.
Plus the lifers committing hineous crimes assulting guards and rapes while in prison.

Regular prisons are not enough of a deterrent.

Why don't we setup a prison in the Mojave desert and have them bust up rocks all day. It would be cheap and effective.

More efficient. You make the decision to kill and rape then accept the consequences. People say lock them up and throw away the key…well there’s people putting their lives on the line every day dealing with these people. However they are also discovering that a lot of the incarcerations down there are wrong. Many innocent people getting locked up. Also does the punishment fit the crime? Many shady legal practices also. Lot worse than what is going on in the U.K. And lastly the gangs are not going away..trust me. They are going to go underground. The president will look like a hero and get immediate results but in 10-15 years they might be back to square one again. There’s a reason why the gangs flourished in the first place. Shit is crazy….
