PERFECT TIMING FOR THIS THREAD!!!!!!!!
I have had one for YEARS and I use it alongside my shunt-method of biasing to make sure I'm right with my numbers (pV, etc). Just so happened one of its sockets blew when I was working on my Rev.2 The guys were awesome - sent me an RMA slip and I sent it back. It returned just last week and the socket wasn't operable - who knows what happened or didn't happen - but it was still fubar'd.
I emailed the guys - politely but kinda like "wtf?!" - and BOOM, no questions asked - a brand new one is being shipped as I type here right now. THAT is top-notch customer care and service. Regardless of the little mishap with my original unit not getting fixed or being diagnosed correctly, they stepped up and saved me ALL hassles and are sending me a brand new one - zero cost.
So, in short - I love Weber for their customer service! Secondly, they're great units but I am still a staunch believer in learning how to measure your amp's guts with a meter and varied methods so you know - as its owner and player - just what the hell is going on with it. BUT(!!!), don't get into unless you know what you're doing (I do most of my stuff up to a point, after that, it goes to Master Ho in Vancouver, simple).
Long post. Sorry.
Weber Bias Rite is dope. And so is the company
