First, guess what amp I'm playing.

Second, WTF is wrong with my macbook isight camera??? Any other mac users experience "skipping" when filming in imovie with the built in macbook cam?
I wanted this to be a mystery amp wank video, but now it's a "what's wrong with my macbook" video!

Well here it is anyway. G&L into MXR Wylde as boost into Mystery Amp.

If you watch this with the sound off it looks like I'm doing some "other" mystery activity.

So someone guess the amp already! :gethim:

Well you gotta give me something else to go on. Is it cheap or expensive?

No Dave, it's not the rectifier. I'm glad you think it sounds decent though. I though so too. :) I was playing it somewhat loud actually, but the computer picked up the acoustic sound of my guitar too. Louder than tv volume.

Gsxrbusa, it's cheap. Actually much worse than a Bugera. :scared:

Marshall MG
Close.
Ok, since noone else really cares that much, I'll just tell ya. It's a Fender Champion 110. (solid state of course) I was really surprised at how tube-like it felt to play. It's not a great sound by any means, but for a cheap practice amp that I pulled out of the basement after forgetting about it for a few years, I thought it sounded kind of good.

I had the mids up pretty high and the treble on 0. As soon as the treble is brought up to 1 it sounds AWFUL! Just harsh and nasty.
Anyway it's a fun little amp.

So any ideas on why my macbook camera is skipping?

Dammit  I was thinking about saying that jokingly. Dallas Marlow had a clip up that was the same exact thing, a mystery clip, and I'm pretty sure it turned out to be a fender champ. Ever since that clip I don't take public guesses anymore because I always expect it
to be a Fender champ or a a Marshall MG15 or something   I think it sounded pretty good though.

Is it a Fender ? Pretty much all amps sound about the same or very similar with a boost when recorded. By the time it goes thru the internet and Youtube it could be anything .... I am going to guess there is no amp being used at all ????

I guess Fender before I knew ....

Sounds like a Fender Champion 110 to me.

Yeah, but not a new one. It has that distinct sound, as if it has been in the basement for a few years, forgotten...

The frontman in my old band had one of those as a practice amp, it sounded killer as I remember, couldn't believe it was solid state.

Dude I have the little Vibro Champ which is a solid state pre amp and a tube power section. Damn thing is killer for what it is!!! Does sound pretty sick man!
