Was walking to lunch when I passed a pawn shop with a Kramer hanging half hidden in the window. Asked about the price, 80$ including hardcase. Couldn't resist!

It's a Focus 1000 Kramer I think from 1988/89? It's okay condition and stays in tune!

Anyone got any more info? Hopefully I got a good deal! The frets are in great condition. Has a Floyd Rose, not sure what the pickup is but look stock.

The Floyd and pickup are worth more than what you are into it for... nice score

It's a F-1000 so Focus 1000 with a B serial number on the back plate. Meaning it's an overseas export from the USA factory? I hope so anyway! It's got about 20 years of grime built up on it, dents and bashes but hoping I can clean it up

All the Foci were made by esp to my knowledge. For 80 that's great. I had one from GC , same exact color and it was 199, which I thought was good. Nice grab.

Thanks all! I'm in two minds whether to sell it or keep!

I picked up a great guitar as well last year really cheap.
But I never play it and always go back to my esp custom.
So I am also thinking of selling it.
I feel what your talking about.

Yeah it's great to get a deal but puts you in such a dilemma as I have GSS (Gear Separation Syndrome) meaning I can't part with anything haha

I just wish I knew more about it, I've posted on the Kramer forums hopefully to get more info on it's value and history

" okay condition & stays in tune" ...... sounds like me.

In that case I'd be "I know what I'm worth, no low ballers... may show signs of wear" haha

I bought this new in '87 or '88 and put the EMGs in right afterwards (Focus 3000). I liked Jake E Lee and this looked close enough. It has really yellowed. It has the thinnest, tiniest neck profile of any guitar I've ever owned (or can remember playing for that matter). I keep thinking I should sell it (only due to neck profile and frets are shot) but even though it's in really good shape (other than frets) I'd likely get nothing for it (C'mon man...it's VINTAGE!). I'd really like to get a new neck for it but it's not a Fender pocket.

Thee original Lynch "Mr. Scary" was a Kramer Beretta, played on most of the early albums.

If it was a baretta I had gotten for 100 bucks I'd of been a happy man! haha it does look very similar

Not 100 percent but like someone mentioned above...
I think those parts were made by ESP.

I also read that ESP japan made the guitar and hardware minus the floyd
