I just got one of these today and I am totally blown away by this speaker. It is hands down the best speaker I have yet to come across. However, I only got 1 of them and paired it up with a Veteran 30 in a 2x12 cab.

Now I'm wondering whether I should go all ET-65 rather than ET65/Vet30.

I'm looking for some input from someone who has tried both. I'm pretty sure Thump has done this if I remember correctly.

Pros/Cons wanted if anyone has tried both.

I found the Vet30 dominated somewhat so I went 2 x ET-65....lost a little low end because of it but it's a wonderful sound...have 'em in my Randall MTS 2x12.

I do find myself wanting another 2x12 so I can have 2xVet30 too :D

I'll start by saying the ET-65 is my favor speaker at the moment. I've got a pair of Et-65s and a pair of Vet30s in a Road King 412. The nice thing about the Road King cab is you can play through either side separately. Trying to factor out the differences between 2 speakers vs 4 speakers, I do like the mix of Vet30s and ET-65s more than the ET-65s by themselves. The Vets have a stronger midrange than the ET-65s and the pair of them really gets a nice grind to it that I love. Granted, if I had to just play through a pair of ET-65s, I'd still be happy, so the difference to me is minor, but I say if you have them both, keep it that way. It's a great mix.

I'm using a ET-65 and a Hellatone 60 in my Avatar 2X12 and it works great with my VM.

You guys are not helping my ET-65 GAS. The problem is I have no cab to put them in. Someday I will find a 212 Jubilee cab...

Cool news. I just rec'd a pair of WGS 65s. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm going to install them in an x pattern with some Veteran 30s.

I have a 212 with the WGS 65 and a Retro 30(slightly beefed up vet 30) .I like it .

It depends on what sound you are after ,this combo is very very punchy .
The Retro 30 is slightly louder but from 5 ft away you don't notice it .it blends really well and gives a great layered sound.

it is probably not as tight as 2 vets ,if you are going classic ..80's rock great combo .

if I was going metal I would go for the Reaper HP55
