I know stuff like this was done before, but I wanted to get the must up to date info from everyone, and to have it all in one post. Also was hoping to find some new pedals in the list also. Please list your favorite pedal from each category.

Clean Boost
Overdrive
Distortion
Fuzz
Tremelo
Flanger
Phaser
Chorus
Analog Delay
Digital Delay
Reverb
Pitch shifter

Keeley Katana
Fulldrive II Mosfet
Keeley Baked Mod
TC HOF, Strymon Blue Sky
CE-5

Just picked up an Ibanez FL-9 and LOVE it. Damn that thing works.

There are a few on that list I have never tried. I will have to check them out

Clean Boost: Suhr Koko Boost (clean) and HBE Germanium Treble Booster Mode (colored)
Overdrive : Rodenberg 728NG in front of Marshall, Analogman KOT in front of Fender
Distortion : Lehan Labs OHc2 (modern Marshall), Carl Martin Plexiton Marshall 800, Menatone TBIAC (Vox), Menatone Howie (Dumble), Lovepedal Les Lius (Tweed), very low open Gain, with no midrange grit Keeler Pull (all in front of Fenders)
Fuzz : Sun Face, HBE Germanium (more flexible), JMI Tonebender NKT
Tremolo : Frantone Vibutron (out of production  ) searched one year for it used....
Flanger: -
Phaser: probably Analogman modded MXR 90 reissue (sounds much better when compared online than my EVH Phaser)
Chorus: old Roland CE-1 (swirlier), I dumped it 1985, it was so ugly/stinky a switch did not work :scared:  I was into rack gear in those days, and Analogman Bichorus (tighter, flexible, cool rotating speaker kind of sound possibility)
Analog Delay: definitely old Deluxe Memory Man
Digital Delay:cool thing the old Digitech Echo Plus (Bill Frisell Thing), do not know the new strymon
Reverb: Fender Spring Reverb, my UAD2 Plugins Lexicon, Emt
Pitch shifter: never tried better units

As you can see quite expensive (even used) things, only bargain the HBE Germania, would pay three times more money for it...

Awesome list! quite a few things I have never heard of before. I will have to look some of those pedals up later.

I play mostly single coils with low output (unless marshall gainer sound is used), that could make a difference when you evaluate sounds, i.e. sc are very important for fuzzes and treble booster performance, be aware that my favourite delays and choruses are useless when you use them not in front of an amp......they perform horrible in effect sends and are worthless muddy, when you use much gain.....

Thanks for the heads up. I love single coils that are lower output (stock strat pickups) so no problem there. What amp/amps are you using?

Oh....

Old 76 JMP Marshall noncascaded (Scumback M75)
Old Fender Vibrolux (1972? with black Oxford speakers)
JMI Twin Vox Clone 15 Watt heavily tuned by the german vox papst reckmeyer (Scumback Silverbell and G12H30 Heritage)
Victoria Tweed Bandmaster 3*10 (various 10 inch speakers, weber, cts....)

My favourite clean 12 inch speaker old orange JBL 120 DF, kills everything, very expensive heavy as fuck...

They make them not as good as they used to, exception scumbacks.....

In front of the Marshall only the Rodenberg, HBE, Fuzzes.....

I'm a pretty minimalist guy. I dont use those other things.

Clean Boost - Voodoo Labs Giggity
Overdrive - Way Huge Pork Loin
Reverb - Blackstar Tube Reverb

Keeley katana can do a great clean boost and also has a pull out knob for overdrive.
For overdrive I dig the klon centaur(clone is just as good) or a Keeley modded rat, maxon od9+pro.
For fuzz u can't beat stuff from throbak. I dig his stone bender and fuzz haze, great build quality and customer service. I have his od booster which is cool as hell also. He blends great vintage vibe but with added modern features and great quality.

No use for OD's, Boosts and the like. If an amp can't deliver what I am after on its own, then it goes back to the shelf of shame.

The only thing on my board is a Boss Tuner, a Tremonti Wah, a Boss DD3 delay and a Lehle Little Dual.

did you ditch your Time Factor?

to the OP

fave distortion is Wampler Triple Wreck
phaser: EVH Phase 90
boost: Xotic EP boost
chorus: MXR micro chorus
od: Plank Cranker!
fave pedal: HBE Paul Gilbert Detox (used as a cut into a gainy channel - adds another "pseudo channel" to a gained out rig)

Distortion - divided by 13 highball
Overdrive - fulltone ocd (v. 3)
Fuzz - subdecay flying tomato
Tremelo - fuchs plush creme de la trem
Flanger - tc vortex
Phaser - blackout effects whetstone phaser
Chorus - mad professor electric blue chorus
Analog Delay - mxr carbon copy
Reverb - digitech hardwire rv-7

Dude, you want 3 options for each one? I'll give you one and you can compile you're own shit.

Clean Boost - Baja Boost
Overdrive - Bodenhamer Bloody Murder
Distortion - Barber Dirty Bomb
Fuzz - Flickinger Angry Sparrow
Flanger - Boss BF-2
Chorus - Dano Cool Cat Chorus
Digital Delay - Boss DD20

Psf. Yeah ok. I'll call EJ, Clapton, Hendrix, Iommi, Beck, Yngwie and all th other legendary guitar gods in the morning and tell them they've been doing it all wrong.

I'm not using any pedals right now except a Clinch after gain. But I am building a board for small gigs. Have a bunch, Timmys, Xotic, etc. But my board will be:

Clean Boost - Under / Over
Overdrive - Fetto Deluxe
Distortion - Tonker
Fuzz - Gramps
Flanger - mxr micro
Chorus - pac 9
Delay - Flashback and Alter Ego
Reverb - Wet

Clean Boost - Z Vex SHO
Overdrive - Timmy
Distortion - early 80's Rat
Fuzz - Z Vex Fuzz Factory (not a good live pedal though IMO...too quirky and sensitive)
Tremelo - No comment on trem, but I'm digging the Jetter Gear Vibe
Flanger - Boss BF2
Phaser - Vintage Phase 90, HBE Psilocybe, Small Stone
Chorus - Boss CE2
Analog Delay - El Capistan...although digital it does analog tape delay better than anything else I've heard. Honorable mention to the Way Huge Aquapuss
Digital Delay - Boss DD3/DD5
Reverb - Strymon Blue Sky, Fender spring reverb
Pitch shifter - no into these per se, but I just picked up a Love Pedal Octave Planet ("Believe") that just kills for doing the Ocatvia thing
