The fact that they claimed that it doesn't make your tone sound like its coming from a isolation cabinet. Total lie. My sound always sounded like it was coming out of an isolation cabinet. I still have the thing but it just sits. I bought it last summer with high hopes. I thought it was just perhaps the amp I was using, but no -- it did the same thing with my Marshall, Roadster, Orange, and Bassman. Totally annoying. I'd post clips and people would always say, "your sound is very stuffy." It was maddening to the point where I gave up on it. Perhaps I should try again.
 
When I used to have a bunch of amps like the Mesa Boogie Rodster, Budda superdrive 45, Vox AC 15,Groove Tube Soul o 150, Fender 1970 dual Showman, I used the Ultimate Attenuator and was pleased with the results. I had a thd hotplate which didnt change the sound as much as the marshall power brake at higher attenuation levels. I didnt like that u needed a different hotplate for each ohm level , so u had to choose which ohm level either 4,8,16.
