Hi, everybody!

I would like to know which Bad Cat amp would be most suited to be used as a clean platform for a 2-Tone preamp pedal?

My current rig (sorry for the crappy cel pic) is centered around the 2-Tone preamp, with a clean boost/overdrive in front and some time based FX after it, feeding a couple of Tech 21 solid state powered speaker cabinets. I want to ditch these and get a clean tube amp, while keeping my pedalboard.

Which of the Bad Cat's current line of amps has a nice warm clean channel, with plenty of headroom, in order to accomodate the 2-tone? I would use the 2-tone for both clean and dirty stuff, so the amp's dirty channel doesn't really matter.

Thanks!

The Black Cat(el-84's) is kinda the "classic" in terms of what Bad Cat does, chimey british tones on steriods. Depends on what kind of stuff you're doing. You might try the Panther...I like 6V6 tubes for a solid clean base....though I haven't seen one of these to actually try anywhere. The Wild cat(el-34's) is an option as well - kind of a harder rock version of the Black cat. I've played both the Black and Wild cat's- they both sound really good. I like the Hot cats but that's for the heavy rock high gain channel.
