Got my BONES the other day and so far im really liking it. Plugged it into my port city os 412 and had enough low end to level the place. The port city has always been my favorite cab because it really throws bottom end and stays very tight.

So now your saying what's the problem! Well for the hell of it I tried it on my trusty marshall 1960B and it really opened the mids on the bones up but does not have the ass of the PC so im probably gonna unload the port city but am looking for a good alternative. I need a cab with low end for metal that says really tight but that is not dark. I previously owned a ubercab but don't really recall how it was wit other amps. Discuss!!!!

randall ported cabinet made for lynch's signature model modular head.

genz benz cabinet is another option, although not widely accepted or used.

the other option is a mills accoustic 412B cabinet.

and my personal favorite to recommend is the splawn 4x12 straight.

i have heard the bogner cabinets will do what you want as well but i cant say yes or no myself on it or recommend it. ill leave that to the bogner cab owners

As far as I knew the Randall Lynch Cab wasn't ported??? The original one in the fake snake skin that was the same color as the head had 4 of lynch sig super V speakers wired at 8 ohms and just a jack, I never saw any ports? Were they behind the grill cloth or something?

Well the port city has got one of the best port designs I've seen, so probably leaning away from ported.

How are the mids in the Lynch?
Man......the cab is insane!
I want to grab a 2nd one....but they are EXPENSIVE!
Sounds great though....

I will let you know,.I have a Recto Cab loaded with V30's and 2 other 412s that I built and one has a quad of Governors and the other has Private jacks and the V30 seems to have the least mid ands the Govs seem to have the most,I love the Govs :D But my bones won't be here until after next week.

Would love to hear your thoughts but I don't think the recto cab is my bag. I sold one a while back it just had something going on I didn't mesh with.

I have my Bones for going on 2 years and I LOVE the older Uber Cab with it. Great on the mids and shit loads of bottom end. May I alos suggest you run 2 EL34 in the center and 2 6550 on the outsides. You will still get the midrange and the bottom end is insane.

That's the tube setup I've got. Awesome amp but the port city just doest marry well with it. My 1960B sounds good because I've got the bogner x pattern in it, but it just doesn't have quite the bottom id
Like. I had an ubercab that I used with my uberschall a few years ago but couldn't remember how the mids were, luckily my drummer has an ubercab and ill have to give it a run at practice this week.

Im thinking that the Fortin and Mills combo would be killer.. The Mills cab works great for any style of music, and it also can handle anything you throw at it. I would at least check out the Afterburner or even the classic 4x12.

And congrats on the amp
