I like silverburst or some sort of translucent green. I have seen the green on Epiphone Les Pauls, but not any gibson Les Pauls. I always liked the color....

Love transparent green! But I have a green flametop Brian Moore. Is it ok to have 2 green guitars? :D

It is in my book. I have more sunburst colored guitars than I care to admit

Cool! Doing the scrape binding?

I think no binding. The red one from the same company had no binding and I kinda like that look. Since I'm not putting a quilt/flame top I think It will look good without it.

What do you think?

I love binding, and if my GMW strat body had it, I would have probably kept it!!!
Yours would be easy to do scrape binding on with the top profile being flat.
To me, it makes a guitar look more finished and classy.
My new USACG Tele body that's coming has a top contour with ivory binding.... I'm going to finish it myself, water-based stain for a BRIGHT wood grain color with natural oil finish over it. Here's hoping it looks good! They're sending me a coupla scraps of the swamp ash to play with the finish.

Tell me alittle about scrape binding? I'm drawing a blank.

You can see it in the picture you linked to the blue quilt burst. It's an edge border where the natural wood is clear finished. Sometimes it's called a "tape and scrape". They shoot the paint, then tape off the "binding" area and scrape the finish off. Then the tape is removed and everything is clear coated. Looks like natural wood binding, without routing into the body and gluing on binding.

thats what I thought. That does sound like a cool idea. Thanks! I think I'll do that

So I guess it's too late for my transparent orange with black hardware concept then?.......

So with scrape binding it's just the wood grain not an actual white or off white?

Hahaha

I do all the printing for U-Haul, so it's always like halloween around here!

I was going to go black hardware with natural finish with my new project, but I hate the look of black hardware when the black starts wearing off. I'm going with chrome.
