So I have this Jackson Custom Shop Star that I'm contemplating selling but, haven't as of yet decided on that (sounds and feels rather awesome--just too many guitars). Anywho... assuming I keep it, I'm thinking switching the tone pot out for something. Anybody have any ideas. Currently the volume knob is a push/push (a la Caparison) which I like but, I want more versatility than full on neck and full on bridge. I want coil split/parallel/series whatever! I will not drill so all I have is the tone pot location to do it with. What kind of switch/knob/whatever can I put in there that will give me more tonal options?

Lastly, I don't mind the gold but, what's the general consensus, chrome or gold (black would be too much I think for this guitar).

Thanks!

Only thing I can think of is to take the tone out and use a PRS 5 way knob

Look up GMW's web site as Lee offers that option and take a look how it works. He has a diagram.

Black all the way

BTW I'm a big Jackson STAR fan   I wish they were more popular

PRS switching is exactly what you need. Chrome hardware would look better than gold IMO...and red humbuckers would be outrageous.

Damn that thing is sexy! Shoot me a PM if you ever wanna sell it
