What exactly changed in 2004? (XTC)

Hey all, I've got a 101b incoming. It's a 2005 model and a friend of mine has a 2002. I've read that there was a slight change in 2004, but I can't find anywhere that states what was changed. Can any of you knowledgeable guys lend me a hand?
 
They added more gain to the Red channel only. Can be easily removed by clipping the cap & resistor. Should be able to google it and see pics on the Bogner Amp Forum. The extra gain also adds compression which some guys like. The original Pre 2004 model's Red channel more closely matches the Blue channel.
