I know they still sell them, but it hasn't gotten much attention since its initial discussions. It sounds awesome to me; very tube-like and the clean channel was a real surprise. What do you think, glorified front-end pedal or underrated studio device? I thought it would be more popular at its price range, but it seems like only a few have really caught on.

I've never heard of it before. Will investigate and see what's up.
EDIT: Holy shit that really sounds good!!

Diezel's recent offerings just haven't gained much traction. Not sure why. I doubt it's an indictment of their quality. I think it's just a crowded market, and Diezel isn't getting their stuff in the hands of guys like Pete Thorn and whoever that can really hype it up on the Internet.

Yeah, Pete need to demo the Paul. I'm sure it would hit

So many cool builders to consider...I think it's just their time to be on the low swing of the gear world cycle.

I think we have a pretentious gear market right now, so perhaps Diezel is too cornered in the metal scene to gain wider appeal. I thought the Fokker was moving in the right direction, but probably too big, heavy and loud to appeal to the average Guitar Center buyer. The Paul sounds promising though, but it doesn't seem like Diezel is trying to push it towards the mainstream market where it can compete with the $2,500 Marshall JVMs and $2,200 Rockververb MKIIIs, etc...
