Looking for some info, (found that I really like the early Fgen 7's). This is a curiosity: looks like either a custom order or a custom/home modification and/or neck swap, and finish. Production date on the headstock says it is a 1999 at the Fujigen factory which... either makes it a RG 7621 or... a RG 15271, but they weren't in production until 2003...?
The cap (? :D  ) is shrinking and separating minutely a bit from dehydration, I assume, still pretty solid, the tuners and bridge are Gotoh. Controls are an odd configuration (again, for this era) and there's no 5-position blade (or route for it) just a vol and a 3-way toggle.Top is also beveled (pics) and the back is something like 'plasti-dip' but looks possibly factory...
Any info would be great, previous owner, maybe? Thanks!

RG15271 wasn't sold here, and also had a bubinga stripe or 5-piece neck depending on the year, so it would have to be a 7421/7621 project guitar. That looks awful, dude. I'd avoid.

I know the 15271's were only in Japan. It has a one piece neck which would make it possibly an early 7621...

That body looks funky. Maybe a custom or just an Ibanez neck on a copy body.

what has me curious is the lack of blade-switch and the control layout

It almost looks like they put a toggle switch in place of one knob, but no blade switch cut out? The arm relief isn't right either.

Here's was a real 7621 looks like with similar finish.

yeah...it's weird. I have a '98 7621 black. And yeah no switch cut-out @ all...

not binding. it's the wood: there's some kind of cap (maple?) bookmatched to the top. the line behind the bridge is where the shrinking/separating has occurred. freakish! I think it has to be someone's project, but from where and what guitar (originally)? ...besides the neck which i think has to be an early one-piece 7621.
