What in the WORLD is up with USPS??

I swear, they could screw up a one-car funeral. Last 3 experiences have been a total disaster! I shipped a pedal a few months back, and I swear it traveled the globe before the buyer got it. 2-1/2 weeks.

I returned a pedal I got on the 3rd to Motor City Guitars in Michigan, I shipped on the on the 9th. It made it to Indiana, then came back to Tampa, then back to Indianapolis, then back to Tampa, then finally made it to Michigan after 11 days.

I ordered some locking tuners for the LP that shipped Monday from Cape Coral, you'd think 2 days since they're in-state, (145 miles south). It arrived in Tampa the 23rd, then was in route to destination. Today, it's in Brooklyn NY! WTF?

I don’t know what the fuck is going on with them either. I dropped off a pedal two days ago to my local post office and checked tracking this morning and it says it’s leaving there this morning….

Guys, this thread has helped convince me to start my business. I will personally come pick up your amp, guitar, pedal, whatever, and take it wherever in the country you want it shipped to. Granted, this will be my full time business and I will need to logistically lay it out to make it efficient as possible.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to ship your guitar from West Virginia to Colorado for $100, as it'll cost hundreds in fuel, hotels, food, car maintenance, and my hourly rate, but I can promise it will get there in fantastic condition.

UPS is the only one I'd use for anything of value these days. USPS is full of disgruntled workers that don't give a shit and FedEx has a driver turnover rate that rivals fast food joints.

Update on my situation. Called the postmaster for my local post office… told her what the computer said… she said I remember I have it right here… she said it was accidentally returned with some returned mail…. By accident? However it wouldn’t be going back out until Saturday morning. Sucks because I paid extra so dude would get it Monday. I dropped it off Wednesday morning btw…

Yep, USPS is a shit show full of people who could care less. They need to go private, and let somebody run it like a business.

Except the armed forces, anything run by the government is a shit show. My dad worked for the USPS and was forced to retire at 55. He is now almost 82. He is ashamed of what the USPS has turned into after his retirement.

How pieces of mail and packages are delivered is no concern of our government.

I just had a similar experience. Ordered some parts from Amplified Parts. Package was at my local post office and said preparing for delivery. Checked later in the day to see if it had been delivered yet and it was on the other side of the state. No clue how they fucked that up.

My last usps delivery arrived a day before the expected date.

From 2020 up until about 6 months ago usps around here was a joke. Packages would get a few miles from my house, then go on a nationwide tour. No problems for the past few months.

UPS has been fairly consistent throughout. They deliver my packages to my back steps, which is what I requested, deserve, and am entitled to.
