Which revalver are you guys using? I had some version of it a while back, and just couldnt get anything I really liked out of it. If any of you havent tried amplitube 3 yet, you are missing out, IMO.
I have one. Just not getting what I want out of it. Figured why not buy an i7 processor laptop and load it with A3, Pro Tools, and a rhythm program.Audioholic":749x5f10 said:The best is Fractal audio Axe FX. As far as cheaper softer alternatives. Amplitube has always been decent. I haven't used it since V2 so I don't know how well it has improved. Revalver also is decent. Vintage amp room?

Leads, I like a screaming Mesa Mark Series or Marshall lead tones in addition to coaxing them out of the mentioned above.
Cleans; either SS or a fender super clean sound will do.

The Pod Farm Software seems like a software version of the Pod's. I have an XT, so why not use an interface with it?scottkahn":1vlx5k9t said:Possibly the best we've ever used in our studio yet... the new Line 6 POD Farm Platinum. Really took things places that Amplitube never delivered. Definitely worth checking out. Even with less flexibility in the miking dept, it still delivered the preferable tone and amp response:

And if you like classic Fenders and vintage Marshalls, you should really check out Avid's Eleven for Pro Tools. You can just get the plug-in -- you don't have to get the Eleven Rack hardware, though that's a nice option too.
