What is up with ESP M-II USA?

It is possible because they moved their custom shop from NYC to L.A. in the 90's before moving everything to Japan..
I do not know what came out of the L.A. custom shop or if it was just for endorsed artists or what..
I have one due to a waiting problem with an order I placed but no USA on it just the standard MII Deluxe
Back of the neck is marked L.A. 95 year that I bought the guitar

Then again back then if you ordered a standard model ESP they had a couple page option booklet and if you checked off on a few custom features added you could do the same thing with it coming from Japan..

I did the same thing with a MII Custom I had ordered with h,s,s back then..

I have always wanted one of those but with a H S configuration. Passives of course also.

Yup, NY CS moved to LA for a bit in the mid late 90's before closing that one, too.

the USA Deluxe stuff was done there as well as true customs. IIRC, the dude who ran the shop was John Guadesi (sp?) who, last I heard, went to Yamaha.

I was an ESP dealer back in 2001 and sold the USA made stuff out of my shop. It was pretty good but IMO the stuff out of Japan these days is better than what they were making in LA.

I have a USA Eclipse that I picked up off Craigslist but could never find out a whole lot of info on it. I emailed ESP twice with no response. It's a killer guitar though...

I know they made Jeff a few guitars in the USA during the mid to late 90s in the LA shop.
