Doubtful! I had it sent to the fiancees parents house to assure delivery, I'm fairly certain I'll be in the backseat of our truck jamming on it through the car stereo on the ride home! Got my converter and aux cable ready!

Man, I thought there was a huge wait time for these  Why would someone buy a used one for $1850 when they can get a brand new one for just over $100 more?

They are usually out of stock, in fct i had never seen them in stock ehen i checked the web store. it so happened that they were in stock when I was ready to buy and checked, i also let a few others around these parts know they were in stock and they jumped also.

If you want one get it now before they are gone and you have to wait for months or buy one of the many on ebay new in box fir $2500!

The low supply of new Axe-Fx's help keep the used price high. Also, the Axe-Fx is a great unit, so there is still more demand than supply at this point. Its on my wish list.

I was wondering if they were purposely limiting production to keep the bottom from falling out on them.

Another possibility is they could be re-tooling and focusing on the launch of the next gen unit which would cause the used market to spiral into freefall as soon as people get wind of it.

Agreed. There is too much risk buying one used... It's a computer after all ;) I wouldn't mind owning one, but I would never pay $2000 for one. ;)

Just curious, Why wouldn't you pat $2000 for it, do you think its not worth it for what it does or do you think the markup is too big? Or something else?

I just built a desktop for about $1200 that isn't much more powerful than an axe, the axe is also built in the USA not mass produced in china which increases costs and reliability.

I find the $2000 price tag very fair for piece of hardware such as the axe.

I have been surprised another Axe-Fx Super Ultra has not been released already. I could see them offering the next unit at say $2500 USD new and still making the Standard and Ultra. No Idea, but excited to see what they come out with next.

My friend is supposed to let me borrow his Axe-Fx Ultra for a while, but that hasn't happened yet :(
