What Mod advice please

Hi everyone! I got a plexi clone that I am loving wanted to ask you guys if there is a mod that might meet my needs.

I'm looking for a mod that would be 100% bypassable via toggle switch or whatever. Also I'm going for a sloppy grungy less defined but organic tone along the lines of nirvana nevermind early pearl jam. I don't want anything that sounds to close to the brown eye hairy brown eye because I'm going to be getting a brown eye amp soon anyways :rock: and want something going in a different direction to cover different ground. ;)

I know people say just use this pedal or that pedal but I hate pedals! The amp is voiced cool and almost does grunge it just needs a little extra fizz/fuzz/ swirly junk going on. Note I'm not looking to sound just like anyone just giving out examples. Thanks everyone! :)
 
I don't think a plexi would nail that type of grunge sounds stock without pedals. Id mod my amp with the naked specs if I were you. The Marsha might be a little bit to hard rock...
 
You don't wanna hear it, but get a quality od pedal. You love the amp, why mess with it? Try an OCD or a Marshall Guvnor, I bet you can get what you want tone wise, and se your Marsha to give you the heavier goods!
 
I actually decided to keep it stock and just coughed up the money and ordered a Brown Eye Amp. So now I will have a stock plexi and the ultimate hot rodded plexi! :rock:
 
A Marsha? I dont love my Plexi. Good shit on having both of those though.
