What new boost should I try?

Fathers day is coming up which means new gear day for me. Right now I own a BB+, an Yngwie 305? (the black one), and a boss DS-1. I love the BB+, but I never use the distortion side, just the boost as a boost, gain at 9:00, volume at 3:00, eq to taste. I LOVE this. It's transparent, but just adds a little bite and some umph. I use the Yngwie the same way and I actually like the results, but it's not quite as much umph as the BB with the same level of transparency. If you turn the gain up more, it gets fuzzy, which I don't want. The DS-1. Yeah, I want to like it and I guess it does what it does, but for my tastes, it's too fuzzy at high levels and too noisy at lower levels.

I have never tried a TS or TS variant, so if I want something like the BB, but not the BB, what should I go for? The AC, a Maxon?

I recommend a Suhr Koko Boost. Awesome clean boost IMO!!!

I've heard great things about the J Rockett Archer.

That'll be my next boost.

Try one of the new Boss pedals..OD1X or DS1X. I have the OD1X and it booted my tried and true ultimate drive/eq pedal combo off my pedalboard. I've boosted Marshalls with these now for about 5 years...800s and Jubilees.

KOKO boost +1 . It will always be on your board after that even if you have other overdrives.

Just watched some vids on this pedal. Sounds great!

Tube screamer type boosts aren't quite as transparent as some of the others, but they are nice and full sounding-definitely worth trying out. I liked the Full-tone Fulldrive pedals a lot. The overdrive section is kind of tube screamer like with a few different modes, plus it has a separate clean boost.

As a pure clean boost, I always liked the Xotic RC booster because it doesn't seem to effect your tone as much as other pedals do.

I use an EP Booster as an "always on" kind of pedal.

I'm planning on using the Archer to boost for solos with some added fatness!

If you're looking at TS type boosts definitely try the Maxon od808. It just makes everything sound better.

It might be the same flavor as the BB+ (but I'm not sure since I've never owned a BB) but the RC boost is great. People don't really talk about it much cause its been out for a while but I recently discovered how good this pedal is. I own a ton of amps (some of which are really picky about what boost you put in front) and the RC works well with all of them. Also the RC doesn't cut the bass like some boost pedals (which might make it a touch darker than say a TS style boost, but it does have separate treble and bass controls so its really not an issue).

I also think the Koko is a good idea also, its on my list.....seems to sound good in front of a lot of amps.

Y'all know what I'm gonna chime in with... But it's nothing like a TS or Koko.

CAL Mk.4:23 (Pro if you can find it) - pushes your amp's front end. It's different. Does things remarkably well. Doesn't add any crunch or gain, just more signal - a lot more signal.

Maxon OD820
Paul Cochrane Timmy
Klon
Fulltone Java Boost
Fulltone Secret Freq

+1
It's always on!

I do like the TC Spark Mini as a pure volume boost in the loop.

There sure is a lot of love for the Koko Boost on here. What's the secret sauce?

I have been using the Xotic EP Booster in front of the 5153 Blue Channel with great success. I need to try the Spark Booster.

At times I use a YJM 308, but lately I have been liking the East River Drive by EH. It's a TS style pedal with less of a mid hump.
